Hello everyone I just joined 9/11/24 I have a 99 Blazer 2-door 4wd.
I am retired from the Army I retired in 2010 after my 3rd deployment I was a Tank Commander in the 4th Infantry Division, I was also a tanker in the 1st Armored Division for many years, I have a lot of mechanical knowlege except when it comes to fuel injection it confounds me to no end.
I bought my Blazer a month ago and it ran great until I started moving , during my move it just died and left me on the side of the road, after a $500 tow the rest of the way home I tested the fuel pump and sure enough it was bad, so i replaced it, after I replaced it and started driving I started having issues with it shifting, it was perfect before the fuel pump issue now suddenly it was doing strange things, so I replaced the shift solenoids and it started shifting fine, the next day i was going to get another load from the old house and lost power then just died, here is my problem I think it may be the spider injectors but how do I test that theory fuel injection is something I know very little about, the check engine light has been on since I got it but I have been lazy and did not use my scan tool, now the scan tool is at my old house and I do not have a way to get there to get it or anything I have most of my tools here but not my diagnostic tools, is there any way to test the injectors manualy? and just how complicated is it to replace them, I have done individual injectors one at a time before but never spider injectors, any advice or recomendations would be greatly apreciated

Welcome to the Blazer Forum. I hope that we'll be able to help you get your truck running and reliable.

It sucks that you've had troubles with your new truck. I'm not the most knowledgeable on diagnosing the injector system, but there are a few people on here who are awesome at helping people through the troubleshooting process. FYI, this is posted in the new member area, which is primarily for introductions. You will get a few responses here, but your best bet for finding help with diagnosing your troubles is to post a new thread in the appropriate section of the forum, such as the 2nd gen tech section. Also, there are some very helpful tech articles and how-to walk-throughs on common issues. Be sure to take a peek at those as well.

As far as the spider injector system goes, I will say that it's not a terrible job to do. My brother and I replaced it on his S10 in about 2.5 hours.
