New Member Utah 87 Blazer

This might be the most active forum for older Blazers and GMC/Chev trucks. I bought it recently from an old acquaintance, he has 2 new knees and can't use the clutch anymore. It ran when parked...

I had it serviced recently, new belts, hoses, radiator, brake lines, fuel lines, , dropped oil pan and cleaned out fuel tank, which totalled 4k in parts and labor.
It's carbureted and missing smog equipment so I'll have to register it to a family address in Idaho.
Near future upgrades
I need to update the headlights I can't see at night.
Digital dash, I can barely read the dash as is.
I've noticed the tach switches off when the headlights come on.
The 35's are old, I'll need some new rubber.
New bushings and new shocks, maybe a whole new lift, not sure yet.
Upgrades down the road
New Big block hood - the paint is trash and it's difficult to open.
Eventually an LS swap Iron big block from a junkyard
Clean up the wiring, I've got two harnesses in the passenger foot well, I have no idea what they go to.
There's a mess of wiring under the hood when the previous owner switched to a carbureted 350 and likely removed an ECU.
I've got a garage and I take summers off from teaching so I'll have time next year for improvements.
I'll get a carfax soon, it's claimed 65k original miles, the carpet under the clutch could be proof of that, interior needs cleaning, but i's in good shape.
