New in Michigan
New blazer owner here in Michigan.
Here's the story of this thing. It's a 95 four door LT, four wheel drive, loaded with 141k on the clock. I bought it for "parts" for my other SAS s10 build. Well, it is almost completely rust free, which for a 95 up here is almost unheard of, so I decided to build a family friendly wheeler.
I paid $500 for it with a slipping transmission, third and fourth gears were non exsistant. The chain in the transfer case also seemed to slip some, but that was a non concern for me as I had another t case I could use. The trans rebuild cost a bit more then the truck, no surprise at all.
I installed an ORD solid axle lift, front crossmember, shackle hangers, and shackles. Front springs are 74-93 dodge 4" lift leafs with two leaves removed. Front is a high pinion dana30, 4.10 gears. Rear axle is temporarily a gm s10 7.5, 4.10's and a powertrax noslip locker. Sitting on my 35's.
Almost sounds like a build thread lol.
Here's a couple pics next to our stock, for now, Jimmy.
