Default New from the Midwest

Hello, all. I just bought a 2000 GMC Jimmy SLS locally. I live in Omaha, but bought it in Lincoln. Its got the good ole 4.3L, Automatic Tranny, and 4wd w/ Automatic 4wd, and 3.42 rears. I'm pretty sure she's got some problems (some of which I'm hunting down in the Tech Help forum as we speak), but overall in pretty good shape with only 64,000 miles. Only annoying thing is with the large expanse of plastic in the 2-doors, it rattles like a ball in a spray paint can. I'm still happy with my purchase though, even if I'm giving up a 35 MPG Saturn. Pics below:

Welcome to the forum.

To solve your rattling problems, you can find where its rattling, pull backthe panel and place 3m tape in between the places that vibrate against each other. It may take a while, but if you go completely through it and eliminate all the rattles, its well worth it.

Welcome to the forum!!! I know what you mean with the rattling in the two doors with all that plastic, one thing you can do is take out your interior and dynamt the whole thing which can take care of alot or all rattling!!!
