After owning two new Blazers when I was younger (‘97 silver 2 door 5sp that was an IASCA world finalist & ‘00 black 2 door auto) I decided to make my next project a ‘05 ZR2. I looked around for about 6 months and ended up finding a single owner & extremely well looked after example.

I live between Calgary & Dubai so I’ll use the ZR2 when I visit, it’ll be seeing a decent amount of off-roading and a trailer in the summer and trips through the snow up the mountains in the winter. I recently finished up a 2 year H3 build in Dubai (I do all the work myself minus auto trans and paint) so I’ve been itching to get going on something else. I’ve always liked these little trucks so it’s fun to be able to return to one and make something out of it.

I'm sure I’ll soak up a lot of info from this site, contribute with my mechanical, electrical and audio/video knowledge and have questions along the way.

Welcome! Lots of info here, ideas as well... got any pics to show them off?

 

I haven’t really taken any pics of it and I have the interior gutted right now doing the new av/gps system and cleaning everything. I’ll be starting g a build thread after I get a few projects done so I can post up some pictures in series. I’ll see if I can find a pic from when I bought it.
