Banks Turbo Rebuild help

5 Attachment(s)
Hi, I finally begun rebuilding the turbo I bought but I have run into some problems.

I first removed one half of the turbo where the intake connects. I then began to take off the oil camber(middle part) but there are two bolts that are almost impossible to remove. I have tried every tool that I own and nothing can get it off.

There also isn't enough space for a grinder so I can't even cut the head off of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pics attached.

Get the center section loosened up and turn the flanges away from those bolts. It should rotate once broken free.

I've got the top turbine(propeller thing) off but unscrewing the nut, but the bottom one seems to be attached to the main shaft(sticking out from the top now) How exactly do I get the other turbine out so I can look inside?

I have also tried to turn the flange by using some wood and a rubber mallet but it won't budge and i don't wanna hit it too hard.

Lots of penetrating oil and patience. Maybe use some heat. Even with those two bolts still in there, once the rust bond is broken loose, the center section should rotate inside the exhaust casing.

Alright, I'll get some penetrating oil tomorrow and hopefully that can get into the cracks to allow it to move.

I just wanna take it apart as much as possible before I put it in the rust removing solution.

Thanks for your help.

Ok, I got the two bolts loose, one of the is out but the other can't be taken out until the middle part is moved.

This brings me to my next problem.

The Oil part doesn't want to spin or disconnect from the exhaust half of the turbo.

I have put lots of penetrating oil on it and have even heated it up as much as I could with a propane torch.

Is there anything holding it from the other side??

Those bolts are the only things that hold it together.

I've hit it hard with a hammer and a plastic block to get it loose but it wont budge. I'm afraid I'm gonna break it if I hit any harder.

Patience is key. You may have to get something hotter than a propane torch.

Ya, that was gonna be the next thing, I'll take it to my school sometime and use the acetylene torch on it.
