sticking around 6 - 8 you should be fine on stock bottom end.

(X2) up to 10psi is the most "they" suggest with a stock bottom end. The stock bottom end GM says can handle up to 350hp but then you have valvetrain concerns. getting the PCM programmed is a must. PCM's-for-less can do that & Wynjammer uses them to pre-program the PCM's they send with their superchargers.
You'll be adding boost to the engine, that adds heat, if you're going E fans make sure you get at least 3000 cfm coming through the rad & they should be on a shroud so they draw through the entire rad & not just flush mounted to the rad.
With the marine intake you'll have to splice into the wiring from the spyder assembly to fire the individual injectors.
Very good write up from a member here UR50SLO about the marine intake etc 4.3L Vortec Marine Intake Conversion Helpfull Hints:.

Depending on the boost you may need to get an aftermarket throttle boddy cover/bonnet to contain the boost & make sure it's delivered. Wynjammer has aluminum ones that bolt on.

GM S10 4.3 Supercharger ,GM 1500 4.3 Supercharger , GM Supercharger,S10 Supercharger, <--- check out his other links in there for info about what you may need. More fuel is one but if you go the marine intake way you'll have plenty, trust me lol.
Al @ wynjammer has links (dig around) about cam suggestions, colder plugs, ignition etc etc.

Oh yeah & then there's my build blazerforum.com/forum/nitrous-super-chargers-turbos-11/what-call-thread-yummy-oh-sofaking-good-50638/ I'm not done yet
