4x4 Beach Permit

This is just a reminder to all my Long Island fellow Blazer lovers. It is time to start thinking about the 2011 Beach Permits. I am going to try and find out this week when they go on sale or if they already are so stay tuned. Also, dont forget to be completly compliant with the rules you will need you saltwater fishing license and fishing gear.

What in the world is a beach permit?

DKSDAD 01-19-2011 09:00 PM

You need a permit to drive on the beaches in New York. There is a State Park Beach permit and also a local permit for some towns.

Oh I see. Well that kinda sucks but better to have it and not get fined

Also a reminder for those who live in St. Augustine, Florida to think about picking up Vilano Beach Permits for the year, it'll sneak up on you fast. Thanks for bringing it up DK

Yeah i agree. They should just rebuild smithpoint even though its not state but because they would loose so much money from not selling the 4x4 permit and the campers if they dont rebuild it. I also realized you have the same tires i do. They are great!!!

Better be safe than sorry so id get it quick!

The tires are great I agree, haven't had any problems with them.

Do any of you guys know about beach permits in NJ?
I'm pretty sure anything is fair game on the beach in the offseason (October through April), but I'm not exactly sure.

DKSDAD 01-24-2011 12:20 AM

I guess it depends on the beach, or town. I know you need a permit to go out on Island Beach State Park but not sure of the price but i think its not cheap. Also, to go on the beach in Seaside Park I think you need a permit also but it is for the off season only. I would check with local bait and tackel shops to see if they know of any rules, regulations or where you can get them.

I would think you could go to the city/county/states websites and find that kind of info too... just a thought

don't know if I'll make to the beach this year, was kind of disappointed last year I went to Chincoteague and there were birds nesting or something and there was no driving on the beach...
