4x4 loud bang, no more front action
 

Hey guys, pretty sure I destroyed my front diff actuator garbage. Anyone have some spare parts from your bravada shaft swap you want to sell?

I'm hoping to take her apart, drain the fluid and swap the damaged pieces assuming the rest isn't baked.

Having trouble finding pieces on fleabay and everyone has 20" rims around here on sedans so craigslist/scrap yards are nil on opportunities. Hoping to find that guy who did the bravada shaft upgrade who might have pieces lying around.

Had an awesome time otherwise winching my buddies jeep out of a mudhole he buried himself in. 80 feet through the trees with 2 snatch blocks!

I have broken my front drive shaft 4 times. Every time it was a loud bang and no 4x4. The shaft stays in place and looks fine but if you wiggle the c joint close to the t case it will be obvious it is broken. You can run a broken front DS in 2wd with no issue.

My front diff pinion is "sorta" engaged enough to spin my crap balanced prop shaft at highway speeds. That was an odd troubleshooting solution (pulled the front shaft) then nervously I loaded up a uhaul trailer to the back and towed it 13 hours to northern Georgia at 70-80mph.

Scored an entire front diff setup from an 01 for 100 bucks cash and I'm gonna toss that in. Might need to get some 01 style prop shafts since mine have the huge flanges.

Did some offroading in the Chattahoochee National Forest system and doing some more all weekend. 2wd with a no-slip locker worked just fine so far. Got a winch for incasesh**.
