Haha. thats kinda what id like to see. if i could hop out mid trail and visualize it, id probably feel better. I removed the rear sway bar when i did the lift, and i disconnect the front one when we go. My wife tends to panic, and sometimes i think well maybe there is a logical reason this time...lol.

Yeah Raystown isnt too far. probably like 30-45 mins from here. Im about 2 1/2 hrs from harrisburg. Soon as i get a full size spare, and make sure all the bugs are worked out for sure then im going to get membership to Rausch.

Ill hafto keep you guys posted for the next RC trip. Me and a bunch of guys from ZR2USA go there every couple of months. I have some carnage from last trip I need to fix still lol

I'll probably be there alot over the summer so maybe I'll see you guys there

skotti 06-03-2010 07:09 AM

I know i need atleast a full size spare before i start making the trips there. Do you guys take anything else extra with you?

I have tow straps + chains and I'm going to invest in a high lift jack. I think a winch is recommended as well but as long as you have a friend to pull you out you don't need a winch

i installed a lift on my scissor jack does that count...lol. I welded it to a 8" 1/4 wall steel pipe.

A buddy made us a chain, but i dont care for using chains. I do have to get some straps. plus mount some recovery points to the rear bumper.

Benedict1337 06-03-2010 02:14 PM

i like the strap better too but i got the chains for free and they add length if someone can't get close

how much did that lift run you i really want one but im starting to realise good ones can cost upwards of 1500 :(

You said you were tiring of some of the local trails by you, is there alot? were going back to this place again probably this weekend. see if we can track down more trails. theres several trails that i and a buddy remember but havent run accrossed em yet this year. not sure if they grew over and were driving by em or what.

there is one that is kind of long that I normally go on. its in Enola its called tower road. I've been on some trails up in tower city and indian town gap but they aren't that challenging I'm looking for somewhere that will show me how much my truck can handle like rausch creek
