Does anyone know any good websits that sells gears for rears..i am looking to upgrade my gears in the future to possible 4.10's but cant find any websites that sell any..thanks

 

I'm in the same boat. Priced them from the dealership and they said it was like 600 something for both front and rear.

 

try randsy's gear (ring-pinion.com)or yukon gear and axle ( yukongear.com). Maby they can help

lol yea i kno how you feel..it seems every week my blazer breaks down...i am currently waitin for my rear to come in from the junk yard so i could get my baby back on the road and slingin some mud

 

Well between this and my wifes jeep it seam like i'm always working on something. My front axle's busted and my tranny's messed too. Thats the price you pay for having big power and big tires right? Oh, and a heavy right foot. Heres the stats on this one 84 K5 , 454 Turbo 400 with NP205. Crappy front ( 10 bolt) and sterling Rear. Need a 60 for the front

 

Nice truck Goat, im gonna go wit an 8 inch and 38's myself when it warms up, got the lift, but cant do it in the garage because it barely fits in there now. I was runnin a 454 in mine for a while, but just had a 383 built, just as powerful, but less fuel consumption. I put the 454 in my nova. My last blazer was an 84, but didnt like the otherside of the hill. see my pics. lol

 

Is it worth the $$ to go from 3.42's to 3.73s? Or would I be ok with 3.42s, locked rear and 33" tires for minor offroading.

 

Hey bullridink5er, I got a 350 block ,four bolt that i want to stroke for my s-10. I know what you mean about fuel consumption. To go half an hour on the highway i spend about $30.00, no kidding! But i love that rat sound you just know it's a big block. And Zero PSI , can you get something lower like 4.10 , cause i had 3.73's in my jeep with 33's and it's not locked and it was gutless. Dont forget the lower you go the more power ( torque ) you'll have but it puts more stress on you driveline.
