Took my daughter to Port-A for Springbreak this year. Until now all of her beach trips had been to Myrtle Beach, SC and I felt that it was time she experienced how we roll on Texas beaches.

I was conerned she would get bored as it was just her and I and she didn't have anyone her age to play with, not to mention we camped on the beach and slept in the truck. (Her being used to condo's, swimming pools and shopping) By the end of the trip she kept saying daddy.... "this was the best beach trip ever" and "when are we coming back" Yup, She's a trooper and can rough-it just fine.

Of course I had to get our Zombie defenses in place and picked up a couple essentials for the trip...

Made sure to have multiple defenses within reach...

Looks fun! Love the zombie defenses, but I prefer my .45 in the glove box. Don't want to have to get too close and get splattered with zombie goo!

I love Port A and Mustang Island! I have Blazer camped there and Big Shell many times since my 1st high school spring break trip back in 87 and almost every year since.

Seems kids are usually higher maintenance because the parents make them that way
All the campgrounds around here want to install WiFi , guessing its to make it more appealing to the youngins
