My level B road experience
 

I got a 4x4 blazer and I really have not used the 4x4 other then messing in the rain. Friend of mine says kid in class was talking about a level b road and were it was and said we should go you got 4 wheel drive. I think a bit, about the street tires and the open diffs and then after school we are on our way to the road. Finally get to it and was a bit muddy nothing I did not think Blazer could not handle other then the large rut in the side. So I press the 4 hi button and then we are off started out kinda dry then got just a bit muddy only about 1 or 2 in deep so easy to handle. Make one pass and was like ok lets do this, turn around and I get on it then the mud start flying. Finish that one then ok lets go again, and a a bit to much gas and the rear end slides into the deep rut in the side, now its keep momentum and try to power thought it or stop and back up, I try for the power and the rest is in the pic.

I phone another friend who has jeep with fully lockable differentials, but did not have chain or a trap and so I tell them to go get some from my house and hide it form dad, well dad found out and He took take his 74 k10 to pull me out.

Wow, you weren't kidding about that being a deep rut.

So... first mod is a recovery kit or new tires? lol

its surprising what a stock 4x4 can do compared to a 2x4. my first s10 had bald 205/75/15s and still was able to get around in muddy fields

Your friend told you to try it . hugh ? You can tell us , and we won't tell anyone .

It's all about driving techniques/experience, you know that.
I've seen a chevette go where some people with 4x4's didn'y want to try. lol

<edit> to be fair technique/experience has a lot to do with it ;)

damn thats deep!!! at least its kinda dry so it didnt ruin anything inside. i would suggest buying some straps. i just bought some for me from farm and fleet. 25 bucks for a 30' by 2" 17000 break strength. nothing too much.

I am kinda stuck on modding blazer, lift kit bigger tires regear and locker. or go pick up a non running 80s k10 and do some modding on that and get it running and have some fun in the mud with it.

must be nice to have that kind of money!!! lol

what kind of lift and tires were you thinking about?
