Default Off road y pipe removal no catalytic converter

I'm new to the forum but I have searched and I cant find a thread close to what I'm needing help with. I have a 2001 blazer 4x4 with the 4.3. I'm trying to remove the Y pipe (no catalytic converter) to put a new exhaust system in. Need tips and pointers (not wanting to cut the pipe just incase new system doesnt fit)

Not really sure what your problem is.

Are you unable to remove the y-pipe because it is: rusted, baked together, lack of tools?
