Near where I live (The Palouse area of North Idaho) we have moose too but also have white-tail deer and elk (wapiti). I've come close to hitting deer and elk. The moose don't seem prevalent enough to be an issue. The elk though will travel in small herds and then group up into up to 60 to 100 head! When you get a small herd of elk crossing a road, there is easily more meat on the hoof than that in even one big bull moose!

An elk that did not get away! (from 2010)

Christine's "Elk Rig" (Look familiar?)

😁 That's ok Christine, maybe there should be an wildlife thread on this forum as well? 😉
We also have these small red bambi-style deer, iv'e had two accidents with these super fast critters shootin out in front of me! But both times i had my old volvo which was built tough, even compared to a sherman tank! Luckily no elk on the hood so far! But we also have a couple of these guys in the neighbourhood that keep the numbers of grass-eaters down😉
Pic taken just a mile from home

Default 🎄Merry christmas to you all🎄

Today we took a trip up a Mountain a couple of miles from home, a little snow wheeling on christmas day 🎄🎅

A Coffee flask, mince pies and a little brandy-butter to enhance the christmas spirit!

Best wishes to all of you!

Thanks! But what, i thought you'd have more snow than us down there? But maybe winter comes later and lasts longer in the alps? Btw, i bought a little christmas gift for the blazer this year!

American steel of course!
