I am looking to get a inspire 1 as well. 3 is nice but camera is better but not great. I need to change to a gopro on the 2 to get better video.

 

Careful of the fisheye is all on the gopro

if you go three I think pro isn't worth it because the 4k isn't true 4k (due to bit rate limits) so you're better off with the advanced version. The Inspire has the card for better 4k and second controller support (pilot and camera operator)

Now its figuring out the cost vs reward for me since there is a cost difference

Inspire 1 for filiming everyone on the trips is worth the investment as it gives better shot and control. If I was just doing this as a hobby, sell the 2 and get a 3.

 

For me its waiting to see if I need to travel in the next few months or not. If not, more to invest into the areal photo fleet, if I do, then I have less to invest which would mean either the cheaper model or waiting. Might add more time-lapse assignments to bump income

A lot of times is go out, do some shots them market the shots. Like of city scapes or whatever. Make sure though its not of private residence and you have the permits (if required) for the flight or sale of video/photos

Otherwise just keep an ear out. You'd be surprised what you might find. Right now I'm flying for some local guys in the storm recovery up here in North Michigan. Unfortunately can't share them since they are of private residence areas.
