i would think you should be fine, just dont go crazy jerking on them. the sudden stop is bound to do damage, just put her in low and take your time. have a spotter too.
i have pulled down a tree with mine...just keep tension on it. make sure you have proper gear too, or it will surely snap and take out you blazer or someones limbs. |
what he said and be safe ^^

all depends on how big and deep the roots are are. my dad tried pulling out some of those generic bushes you see in front of everyones house with his 4x4 ranger, even on the concrete he couldnt budge them. them roots went deep. we eventually just chainsawed them out.
also watch tire spinnage too if youre gonna be in the front yard |
well i have a decently long chain my friend has a few maybe enough to get to the road not sure how we're gonna do it with the ones on the side of the house

dont forget to take pictures
We love pictures =) |
go for it. ive used my 96 to pull out some pretty big stuff but the k5 is where its at. i used that to pull out a tree that was maybe 7 or 8 inches in diameter. damn buckthorns in my backyard!!!

You should be able to do it fine. I've done it before. Put it in 4-low and be carefull to not jerk too much, especially with a chain. I would suggest doing some digging around the roots to try to loosen the soil a bit, especially if the bushes are big. As well I'd suggest that you drape a weight over the chain or cable in case something breaks or comes loose under tension. That way the chain will drop rather than flinging back at the truck.

if you have yews (generic shrubs) those have a pretty tough root system especially if they have been in the ground a while. you may have to do some digging before you can just rip them out. yea yea I know my plants. I ripped trees out of the ground before its all about traction
