Rausch Creek 4/29/12
Took another trip to Rausch Creek today in the S10. Had a real blast, even had the water come over the hood in one of the mud pits. 19 miles of trail, with lots of technical sections. Didn't get any photos of the blazer, but I went through every obstacle...even the stuff I didn't think I'd have a chance at. Only got stuck on the frame once, otherwise had a little difficulty but was able to make it through everything.

Had some trouble with the main IGN fuse blowing any time I took a steep incline. Happened three times (I stopped replacing it after a few time). Each time I would get pretty far with no issue, then randomly it would blow. With the fuse blown the trans went into "limp" mode (3rd gear only), the gauges all went dark/dead, the o2 sensors stopped working, and the Variable Timing stopped working. Made it extremely difficult to climb some of the tall hills, but in the end did pretty well. I was impressed with some of the things this little blazer was able to take. I'll have to take a look at it one of these days, and see what's shorting out to cause my fuse failure. Worst part was that every time the fuse blew, the "key left in ignition chime" would play continuously until the fuse was replaced. That noise can drive a man insane when trying to concentrate up a steep rocky incline. LOL.
