It's under s10 blazer (2nd gen). This is the one for 4wd 4door. There is a separate option for 2wd.

That's what my issue has been... I was fooled into thinking the 6" would work... Now ppl tell me to swap the axles but I don't like the cherokee suspensions... Any other Chevy axles fit do ya know?
80+ jeep wagoneers have front and rear D44s that are the right width. I'm planning on eventually finding a set of tons, and not caring how far the wheels stick out, Texas doesn't have any laws regarding fender coverage |
Wow this thread is awesome. Just read through the whole thing. It's giving me the motivation to rebuild my 4.3 and order a 6" lift kit for my '01 Jimmy. May have to fight some electrical gremlins or do an EGR delete though. Thanks for your build threads, cleburne red and DonL.

Any Vids?

So, I had already done some mild trimming, but I was still getting some good rub at the ohv park yesterday.
Now, I disconnect the sway bar when I wheel, I want every bit of articulation I can get; and while I don't do super hard core rock crawling, it's not my daily driver, and I have friends with trailers, so I'm not super afraid of breaking it, either. So ymmv with the amount of trimming vs tire size. This is what I just did, can't really trim much more, I'm up against the firewall. Hopefully it won't rub next time out https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...615fbff0aa.jpg (ignore the oil stains... I'm replacing the front axle seals very soon) It might look excessive, but when the wheels are turned, and you come down off a rock ledge, the gap closes up significantly Very nice build. Do you happen to have any off-roading or general build vids on YouTube? Those tires look mean! |
