tbar crank question?
 

i ordered the rear shackles and i read up on the t bar crank but i also saw the torsion bar keys that you could buy as well .. my question is could you put those keys iin then do the crank to level the truck out or is it one or thhe other?

you can get the keys but they lift the front too much. You will were out balljoints and other front end parts veary fast. Just crank up your stock keys for about a inch and a half and you should be safe.

Keep in mind that cranking-up your T bars will make your front end stiffer. Go for it if you don't mind

lol mongloid? it defiantly rides stiffer when you crank the t-bars, its not like outrageously stiff but you will notice it at first.

I had talked to a local 4x shop about torsion keys and he just about chased me out of his shop over it and made the comment of well you might as well put in longer bolts cause thats all your doing. Well against his advise I cranked up the bolts and the only problem I had was the bolts on the control arms were your alignment is adjusted wouldnt stay tight, so I went to the local fastenall and ordered up new lock nuts and double nutted it. They never came loosew again and hadnt had any problems other than that. This was on a full size Tahoe and I cranked them up more than you should but that just makes the point that you should be just fine cranking them a bit I say go for it.

Just a fore warning like everyone else said. Don't crank the tbar too much or you will pop the boots off of your cv joints super quick ,or other parts going bad prematurely due to the bad angles. Even crankin up the t bar up alittle bit u might still want to check your under-carriage a couple of times a week to make sure everything still good.

I had mine cranked up for alittle bit (not all the way) and i was out 2 cv joints in 2 months.

I did my t-bar crank and shakels a little over a year ago and have not had any problems as of yet.
