tires 4x4

I got a 1999 ls 4 door 4x4 ...i currently got 235/70r15 on there what is the biggest 15 I can put on there with everything being stock? also what would it cost me to get a three inch lift?...any suggestions?....where are you guys finding brush guards and other accesories at?...seems like aftermarket parts are getting hard to find...

tires i think that 30x9.50x15 is biggest you can go stock. lift you can get a 2 inch body lift for about 200 dollars. lift shackles and tbar crank can get you 1 to 2 inches.

yea sounds like you want a body lift and a tbar crank should give you 3-4 inches. largest tire you can fit right now are 30x9.5x15 if you get those two lifts you can fit 32x11.5x15's

Thanks guys for the help.....where is a good place to get the shackles and about how much they cost?

leeclark 03-18-2011 05:47 PM

ebay and they run 50? not sure what they run just look em up

Benedict1337 03-18-2011 08:04 PM

Yea 50 is probably the cheapest good one you can get. U can get the ones at advance auto for 30 but they have no reinforcment so ur better off getting the better ones

I would say you can go to auto zone and buy a $16 shackle lift for the rear end. then raise your torsion bars up a bit to level it out and you will have about 2.5 in. cheap lift. then you can put 31x10.5x15 tires on.

Benedict1337 03-25-2011 08:15 AM

autozone shackles are not quality built, you risk twisting your leafs, and having the rear axle uneven which will create a very unpleasant ride

yeah. but when you get new shackles get new bushings too. be prepared to have a hard time doing this. i started it one night thinking ill just unbolt the old ones and put the new ones on.... no the case. took me almost 2 days to finish.
