Default 1980 K5 Blazer Bucket Seat Hardware Help

I am currently working on a 1980 k5 Silverado Blazer with bucket seats and I am having issues reinstalling the seats. We put new carpet down and when we went to reinstall the seats, it seems like the bolts we though were suppose to go there are just a little to short. they thread into the holes without the seat in place but when I try to get the rear bolts in the driver seat, the bolts don't grab. Does anyone know the size of these bolts and if I can buy a hardware kit somewhere or if I should just go to the hardware store and get some. We seem to be having similar issues in several other places as well so if anyone can point me towards a supplier of interior bolts or a diagram of some sort that will specify bolt types that would be a life saver. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

if the short ones thread into the holes just bring those to the hardware store and get them a 1/2 inch or so longer

For now that's the plan, not sure why they are those goofy tapered end body bolts though... Hopefully that doesn't matter. I did find them at Napa but they only had the same length as I already have.

i dont think it matters if they are tapered, that usually just helps to get them started. regular bolts should probably work fine just have to be careful and slow when starting them
