"bench+seats" seems like an appropriate search term. Try it and start reading.

the s10's and blazers are pretty much identical as long as you get the seats out of a 98 or newer s10. if you get them out of a 95-97 I believe there are slight modidifications with the bolt holes

so if i pull a bench out of a 98 or newer blazer it should be a direct bolt in?

Yes.... An "amount" of blazer came with factory bench seats.... I believe there are minor modifications to make it work.....

I have a friend that drives a '96 w/ a 60/40 split front seat which allows her to seat 6 'close' people.

Minor modification? An extra bolt hole to be drilled into the floor?

I had the 60/40 seats in my 2000 ls. I now have a 2001 that is exactly the same. I believe they are quite common.
