Anybody on here have a thread on a rustolium paint job. The roll on method? Ive seen tons of youtube vids on them and id say 90% of em look good. Im thinking of maybe trying this while its still warm enough out doors.
I've seen it done on other forums but don't recall seeing anyone on here having done it. I do agree a lot of them come out great and then there's the ones that aren't so great!
I sprayed a trailer over the summer with it, my first attempt at a complete spray using normal equipment (in usually a krylon touch type). Only been a few months but is holding up fine. It ain't hard, just have patience
I think what mattters most with any paint job is your prep work. But on these paint jobs, from what ive seen its also about how much you wet sand in between coats. I wana try it. But I think I should wait till summer rolls back around. Its kinda cold my way already
People are always gona hate what somebody does if the "mass majority" doesnt like it or agree with it or if its not the most "expensive" way to do it. Im one of the lucky few that dont care about the masses.
The main thing is prepping before painting. If you prep the right way before you paint and wet sand like you should then you will have a good paint job. I've got access to Paint Booths and everything because of where I work but yeah, always prep.
I painted my K5 with "steel roof paint", cost 63€ (pretty much same in $) colour code is 6020. I sprayed it with the spraygun i got with my cheap compressor
