Default 99 blazer plastic just under the bumper

i have a stock 99 4x4 blazer, and just recently started on modifiying it first time i have done it with any cars, so bear with me im taking it slow and gonna ask alot of questions in the long run. so last night while i was dropping the oil pan i was looking at the front end, under the front bumper is a big chunk of black plastic. i think its the grill or cover for the oil filter and i wanna remove it and replace it with a piece of metal, is there a kit specific to the vechicle or is it something i would have to machine myself? thanks now for your answers.

the only thing you could probably look for is an aftermarket skid plate kit. not sure if you can find them, make sure you can still access the oil filter if you put the metal there.

For some reason some are made with a aluminum skid plate. I found 1 off of a 2000 jimmy that a guy was parting out. So i guess you could go to a scrap yard and see if they have 1.

i got my alum one at a scrap for 40.00 they made them, just hard to find.
i dont see why you couldnt put anything you want down there as long as it is similar and bolts up.
