Am I missing something here???

Hey guys,

I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer 2-Dr V6.

It's got four seats in it. The two in the back can be folded all the way down to free up cargo space. The strange thing, though, is the front two seats do not slide/lean forward enough to allow anyone to get in and sit in the rear seats!!

I have looked everywhere on both front seats to see if I'm missing a lever or something, but there's nothing! If you slide either front seat all the way forward, and then pull the lever to lean the seat as far forward as it will go, it only gives about 3-4 inches for someone to squeeze behind and get into the rear seat.

The only way I've been able to have people ride in the back is to lean one of the front seats all the way BACK, and have the person literally CLIMB over the front seat to get in the back!!

Other cars I've been in, the front seat moves far enough forward where you can get into the back. So, either I'm missing something here, or someone swapped out the front seats with a pair from an S-10.

Am I going crazy? Or do all '03 2-door Blazers work this way? :icon_rant:

There should be a lever on the door side of the seat that moves it forward for people to get in. Well two levers, one to tilt the seat and one to move it forward. Im 6'4" and i can climb in mine pretty easily. You might be missing the lever

On my '98 2dr there are 3 levers. One big one in the front of the seat, one on the outside of the seat and one on the side of the seat back. I work it by pulling the big lever in the front and sliding it forward, and then activating the lever on the side of the seat back to lean it forward. Pretty much all in one motion. As long as you do not use the lever on the side of the seat, the seat back will remember the its previous position when you return the seat back to normal position. I also have anyone get in the back from the passenger side so I don't have to slide the driver seat back and find the "sweet" spot for normal driving position.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the responses. There is no third lever, I've looked a million times. I think my vehicle (purchased used) was probably in a car accident at one point and they replaced the seats with 4-door seats that don't move forward. I bought the truck from JD Byrider, which only deals with people who have bad credit, so I'm sure their vehicles/mechanics aren't top-shelf either.

Now, I just need to get some 2-door seats in there before my baby is born, so we can put the carseat in the back, lol!!

Thank you again for all your help.
