blazer lights with gmc grill

I have a 99 blazer and I want to put in a jimmy grill and keep the chevy lights. I just wanted to see if anyone has already done it and if sho want suggestions? I already have both grills. Just waiting for a good day where I can get a good days work in.

i have wondered this to....i am guessing you are going to have to fiberglass the portions separating the chevy light onto the jimmy grille.....
like so

i think the red circled areas will be trouble

where would be the easyest place to get figerglass?

warthogdriver May 24, 2011 06:16 AM

local big box would be a sure bet....resin and mesh
depot around me has both....make sure you practice with it ...not very forgiving.
you will need to build it up around jointed area..stress cracks may be an issue.
i dont know your exp with it.

should be doable but lights with force trimming and shaping of jimmy grill.....

I have it fitted i just need a day where I can glass them and make it solid

sounds like some good progress...be sure to post some pics.
i have thought about this before...or actually just removing center portion of stock grille.
i think you idea will look better though.

Moores12345 did it. Looks like he just cut out the stock grill and put the GMC in it's place without any glasswork. Looks real good IMO

Now that looks like the right way to do it. I had a GMC Sonoma grill and the Blazer turn signal lights clipped in. Looked good but wasn't as secure as I wanted it to be. Yours looks like it's done well. I went and bought a parts 99 Blazer and went back to the old grill like what was there before.

Nice work.
