whats even weirder is that we started with almost identical base blazers before mods.....great minds think alike.:icon_beerchug:
yeah, but you have me beat on the roof rack. very nice. i have to also admit i have been admiring your bedliner interior job as well...just the cargo area though...not as brave as you. couldn't have the daily driver down for that long. oh, and i am planning to apply some white "rally stripes" up hood roof and tailgate....now if you are doing this too, well i am going to have to start to wonder if there is something going on?....u part of c.i.a. mind reading projects?....nahhhhhhh :icon_eek: |
Nice find. LIGHT 'ER UP!
|
Rally stripes are all you. i toyed with the idea, and i like the look. if you pull it off, i would LOVE to see it :D
as for the whole interior, you can do the whole thing in a weekedn. friday night removal, saturday morning prep, saturday afternoon break, saturday evening mask. sunday morning first coat, an hour later 2nd coat, let it cook for 8 hours and put the seats back in. it would be best on a 3 day weekend when you can let it cure, but with the time line i laid out, you would be ready to roll monday morning :D and x2 on the lights! you gott deck out the guard :icon_steer: |

i am working on the guard as best i can. with winter set in my options are limited as far as paint work (no garage) soooo..... i am trying to borrow a garage for the weekend when holidays are wrapped up.
the interior bedliner is gonna have to wait for warmer weather. but it is on the to do list. i have lights picked up :) . i have mock up madeof guard (a lot easier to maneuver), just need materials and time for mounts. any ideas/suggestions for material thickness? was thinking just some steel plates, cut to fit and drill out, for mounting hardware. |

get angle iron. with the set up you have there, go to the front of your frame rails, mount the angle iron on the inside of the rail capping the frame rails OVER the tow hook mounts
use grade 8 bolts. see below |
nice sketch Curtis! you sure you don't work for the engineer's corp?
|
lol! i am kicking around the same design for mine ... i figured since we are the same guy working on the smae project for the same truck...why not go with the same set up :icon_teeth:
