carpet question
Is it hard to take the carpet out after taking the seats, console, etc out? im trying to pull the carpet up and bedliner the floor and put some soundproofing down but im not trying to ruin the carpet so i can put it back in after doing that and a deep cleaning
|
Difficulty is a tough call. But if you can take the seats and console out, you will have no problem with the carpet.
|
In some places it will be held down with "adhesive" but really, its not that hard. just go slow in the areas that it gets stuck.
|
It is tucked under the plastic trim panels in a lot of places, might be enough to make things difficult for you.
edit: Sorry didn't realize you had a first gen, I was talking about a second gen but might be the same with a first too... |
its tucked under interior panels on first gens too.
Pretty much to do the carpet, you will have to remove all the seats. and interior trim panels. center console if you have one. seatbelts ect. |
yea i figured the seats, seat belts, and console would have to come out. looking at it today theres quite a bit of plastic trim but it doesnt seem like too much, pretty much all the same plastic pieces that had to come out to put the headliner in and the lil plastic trim but the doors.

Yup, you got it nailed then, basically, kick panels, the trim between rear and front doors, and the rear trim pieces behind the rear doors (oh, and that one little strip at the back gate.
Then you are good to go. |
