Coin holder to switch panel for 1997 Blazer 5speed
After almost two years of having this Blazer I decided I needed to get this project done. I hated the wasted space of the coin holder being there so I made a switch panel for it. Originally I was going to have a digital voltmeter there, but decided on it going to be my "Blackout" switch panel to manually switch off and on my DRL's, brakes and reverse lights.
Make sure you use switches rated for the amperage of what you're going to be tying into. I chose NiLight 90013L switches because they're 30amp switches and low profile and flush looking. Project below if you want to do this or improve upon it or whatever. I didn't include detailed dimensions of the paper template because it's going to depend on the switches you use, but it's not hard to find the center and clearances and where to drill. A basic run-down of the wiring is below... Connect wire to each end of the cut wire and connect to the switch... https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...76903d60a2.jpg No.16 fuse shares two wires; one going to reverse lights and one going to turn signal lights. I cut one wire to see what it went to and it was the turn signal lights. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...26c49cb83a.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...f3dccfd20f.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...64949b7100.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...ae9417cfa6.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...ea1ce3137d.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...b22abb0b28.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...1bd289623e.jpg Video of the switch set-up: https://mega.nz/file/D5hhDIwa#pMALTS...3TUOfWotS_-Pzg Hope it gives you ideas. |

Very nice job and write up, but I'm jealous of your manual transfer case!
