De-badging
 

Does anybody have any pointers on taking all the badges off without scratching my paint. Are the "Blazer" emblems a stick on or do they mount into your doors?

Get a heat gun and some fishin line...

Mine came off quite easy. Buy some Goo-Gone to remove the left overs, then wash the area, and wax it.

The emblems themselves are the easy part but the double-sided tape on the back om em and the door trim is kinda a pain to get off if you dont use fishing line. But after I got the tape offI used this stuff called spar cream and it removed all the dirt and other nasties left behind from the tape and it cleaned it nicely.

i agree with zasder, minus the heat gun.

ahair dryer on high power works good, just takes a bit more time...i like to be ultra cautious when it comes to paint.

fishing line is a great idea, unfortunately i didn't have any handy at the time so i used the white nylon straping that they use for shipping boxes. pretty much anything thin and strong that doesn't have a rough surface.

once you have it off use goo-gone or something similiar to remove the leftovers, and give 'er a good wash!

i have dont this before with a mitsubishi and i took a blow dryer and fishing line, then use rubbing alcohol and rub off any dirt or tackyness left over.

a buddy of mine swears by WD40 he says spray alot on the tape let sit for a while then use a bath towel to remove it, i used nail polish remover and wd40 mixed together took some elbow grease but cane right off witch i thought was great considering it was 14yrs old

If your using fishing line make sure you have at least a 25LB test or more, otherwise you'll be yelling at yourself when you break the line every quarter inch tape you cut with it. Just speaking from experience..

I came in here to say exactly this. I tried once with 12lb and it was horrible!!
