Door lock actuator replacement

After searching the forum to find out why my drivers side door lock will unlock but not lock I've learned it's the actuator. I've searched the forum and the internet to learn how it's replaced but so far I've failed to find any instructions on how to do it. I've looked at it but it's hidden in the door and I can't determine how it mounts. Does anyone have a link to a video or can you tell me the steps to replacing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A1 is usually rather reliable.

The door is held on by a single phillips screw in the handle bezel, and 2 bolts (7 or 10mm..?) under the arm rest, then all the clips.

But I'm sure you've already figured that out. :icon_bricks:

Unfortunately the only part that you can truly rely on is that one Philips head screw. Everything else has probably failed by now.

I've had the door panel off to repair it and the broken armrest so that's no problem. I received my new drivers side mirror today so once I purchase the actuator I can kill two birds with one stone. I'm still a little confused by the description above that says rivets need to be drilled out. I've looked and I don't see any rivets. Hopefully I just missed them and I can figure it out.

I'm trying to buy the actuator online but I'm seeing two different ones listed. My Blazer has a key fob to unlock the doors. Which one is the one I need?

So much truth to this statement.
