Door pins/bushings

A while ago I was searching around and came across somewhere, I am at a loss of where. but it was a link to some REALLY nice pins and bushings that would fit in a blazer. Not the cheap ones that they sell at the parts store. I wish I could remember where I found these, anyone know what I am talking about, or am I just nuts. :icon_screwy:

Not too sure if there is a quality when it comes to these. i got mine at autozone and i havent had any issues with em and they were installed last year. I do need to put the door spring back in...watta pita.

Napa sells that tool you are looking for.
I must have been dreaming when I found those pins and bushings. LOL too bad I cant use the bolt in pins and bushings that they use on a full size, that would be nice.

Oreillys and advanced here also has the door spring tool.

My bushings and pins in my 87 are almost 10 years old now and they came from oreillys. Besides just being higher priced I'm not sure how anybody can improve on a steel pin and bronze bushing.

Neo, on the improvment note, how about this say "New and improved" then just put it in a different box hahaha, kinda like our government

You can polish a turd but at the end of the day you only have a shiny turd and smelly hands.

Better hope that thing comes with a zerk fitting and you don't forget to lube it. That's the point of the bronze, its a wear item so soming else major does. Besides if ya gonna redesign it I'd suggest roller bearings instead of a bushing at all. Then ya gonna have to keep them clean or any grit that gets in is gonna eat those up.
