Default Drip Wetherstrip fun

**WEATHERSTRIP**

Wife is out of town on business, so I have the house to myself... Aka Garage time!

Decided to install my driver's side drip weatherstrip.

Here's the old one.

On some advice I read on here, I peeled the double sided tape that came on the new weatherstrip, and placed better, thicker tape on there.

Here's what was underneath the old... Lots of goop.

And here's what some mineral spirits and elbow grease will get ya..

Still some black weatherstrip adhesive left that I will finish cleaning off.
I'll post the finishing pics tonight.

We'll see how it holds up in the car wash..

Late reply, but where did you order the weather stripping? I'm looking to replace mine.

LMCtruck.com

Make sure you pay close attention and find the correct one... A lot of similar weatherstrips on there.

I have to replace mine again. I got the short strips which fit the front door but I will probably replace with a strip all along the front and rear doors. At the same time have it go as far down along the A-Pillar as it goes.

For what it's worth, for a '95+ four door blazer, the part number on LMC is 29-7662 for the LH side. Costs $29.95 plus around 10 bucks S&H.

Need to buy one for my 2001 4dr Blazer. Has turned sticky for some reason. Question about the application. LMC lists 29-7660 for the Blazer and 2 dr PU. They list the 29-7662 for a crew cab or extended cab S10 PU, but no Blazer. Must I assume that the 29-7660 fits the 2dr blazer and the 29-7662 fits the 4 door blazer? Only thing that makes sense to me.... Also they use the same P/N for both sides??

I'll get on their site and double check what part # I ordered, Les.
It's the same part on either side, you'll have to cut it to fit.
