Droopy Bumper

Sorry if not posted in the right group. Ive got a 2000 blazer. The wife ran into a trailer hitch when we got it. After that I took the plastic off the bumper so just the chrome metal is left. My question is, how do I get the bumper to stay up? No matter how tight I get the bolts, it always seems to droop back down. Thanks for any help.

do the bolts come loose on their own?

They seem to slip forward in the slots. Last time i tourqed the hell out of them. Didnt know if anyone else had this problem. Every time ive had it off, when i put it back i put the bolts clear in the back of the slot, and get it looking good, but it only lasts a couple weeks

try adding lock washers on both sides of the bolt to see if that helps it from being dragged forward

Thanks, i may try that next time. If that dosnt work i may weld something on the hole to keep it from moving
