El cheapo fender trimming job!
My 31"s on 15x10s were slightly rubbing the backs of the front fenders when turning and hitting a bump at the same time. So this is what I did after work today... enjoy!
Gonna do some fender trimming! https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1361 Remove the trim and peel the wheel wells back. https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1360 Start cutting! https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1359 Yep, that's less fender alright. https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1358 Don't forget the front. https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1357 It's much easier to trim the plastic in the front than the metal in the rear. https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1356 Now the drivers side... https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1355 This side seemed to go faster. https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1354 Ah! that's better! https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1353 This is a mild trim job but that's all I needed. I have a 2" suspension and 2" body lift with 31"s on 15x10s w/5.5" baskspacing. If you wanna run 33"s or have less backspacing you will probably have to remove more fender! https://blazerforum.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=1352 |
Trimmed fenders ftw!

I would never trust myself cutting my baby like that haha. Looks good.
|
Update: Since trimming my fenders I have had no tire contact at all, not even while turning during some serious articulation on an off-road trip.

Omg!

2" body lift... 2" suspension lift... got it.
What I want to know is, where did you get the 1" Hover lift?! See Attached. Seriously though, they turned out nice. Looks sharp. |
LOL... that wasn't the only jackstand under the truck... that was my insurance policy!

Nice work! I'm having the exact same issue with my gen-1. I might have to follow in your footsteps and trim some fendah lol.
