Fender trimming help

Ok got a couple of questions here. My passengers side fender on my blazer is bad so I pick up one off a zr2 s10 same color. I got all four flares. I know I've heard the s10 flares won't fit on the back but they will. My question is my tires rib because I have a 0 offset. 8 inch wide rims with 31s. How should I got about cutting the zr2 fender so it doesn't rub anymore? Does anyone have any pics of someone doing this? Should I cut the flares so they don't rub? Or if I cut the fender will the flare shape to it? Thanks.

Bump. All I need to know is how should you go about trimming the fender and the flare

Jamaroon shares this awesome link a lot. It's from the S10 Crew Cab site. Skidz Cut-Out Flares. It's a great walk through on trimming your fenders.

That's only for no flares, with ZR2 flares you have to cut the flare. Trim a bit, test fit trim some more. Repeat until no more rubbing.

Where do I cut the flare

Jamaroon 05-16-2013 11:57 AM

Wherever the tire touches it...

Very helpful...

I don't know what else you want, it's not difficult to figure out. There's no one answer on where or how much to cut. It'll be different for almost every truck out there.

Install everything, see where it rubs and cut. That's the best advice you will get.

^x2 there's is no exact spot to cut besides where your tires are hitting. Like jam said all trucks are different.
