Frustrated with passenger door
Okay, so the door is sagging, like 1/2 inch when you close it to see how off it is from the rear door. Went to orielly this weekend, got new pins and bushings. put them in (piece of cake) go to close the door, and its still like that.
The hinges are not egged out, the bushings fit in there real tight, I am not sure what the problem could be, but its driving me nuts. :icon_cankick: |
Maybe the hinges are bent? Like someone was hang on it while it was open?
|
no one has hung on them since I got the truck, when I got it the door closed perfectly. and since that, is when it started to sag.. I did however notice when I was looking, that my dumb ass (was drinking when doing the door) the very top bushing instead of putting the new one in, I somehow grabbed the old bushing and put that in (just one)
but its broke, I think that might be the problem. this weekend I will remove the door again and put in the new bushing, and see if that is the problem. otherwise, is there a way I can "bend" the hinges back? if they are bent.. like carefully lift from the the bottom of the door? i dont know LOL |
Lmao. Yeah that might be your problem. Should fix most of it if not all.
But if it still sags a little after putting the new bushing in, that's what I would try, But not get all crazy with it lol |
I could not believe it when I looked at the door hinge to make sure i put all the bushings in there, and there is was, an old bushing, with a new one just sitting in my hand... brain fart for sure. I will let you know how it goes.

Hope that straightens everything out.
