Got some new goodies :)
Got 3 things off my list of things to buy ;)
The story starts when I hit a deer with the Blazer and cracked the back of one of my projector headlights. So I dealt with it taking on water for a few months. I also retro-fitted 9005s into the blank spot of my old aftermarket signals and they were showing signs of heat damage, so I took them off and put the stockers back on. I finally got enough money saved up, so I went on ebay the other day and found new headlights, signals, and a 9006 hid kit all in one auction, and I bought them. Just got them today. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...90811-1246.jpg I'll keep on updating this as I get everything installed. |
let me know how the light pattern with HID's is on those headlights, ive been thinking about getting the same headlights in chrome but i dont want blind everyone i pass.

HID's are extremely bright headlights.. 9006 would be the light type I believe. HID's do come in different intensities..but I don't think 9006 would be a measure of that. And the lights look good. Can't wait to see them installed! |

9006 is the bulb size. HID stands for High Intensity discharge. Its a system that replaces your halogen filament bulbs with a ballast and an electrode-in-gas style bulb.
I forgot to mention that the HIDs are 6000k. My high beam kit that I currently have is a 5000k, so its not too much difference. I just finished painting the light surrounds.... Here is what they looked like before: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...90811-1246.jpghttp://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...811-1330-2.jpg Got them masked up: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...90811-1312.jpghttp://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...90811-1313.jpg And the finished product: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...90811-1628.jpghttp://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...90811-1629.jpg Sorry if the quality isnt great. I'm using the 3.2MP camera on my Blackberry because my Kodak is being stupid. |
Hey, that's cool :) you painted the useless areas black right>
