How to remove back glass support shocks?

1993 S10 Blazer. How do you remove the little struts that hold up the glass? It has the rear defroster.

I havent done a first gen, but 99% of vehicles ive removed gas struts off have little metal clips snapped around either end of the strut(right where they mount) pry them out a little bit(not completely off) and pop the strut right off.

Yep. This is correct. A flat blade screwdriver or a small pick will lift the clip up enough that you can just pull the lift support off. They are spring loaded, so be careful and hold it tightly so it doesn't push out on you. Be sure to support the window so it doesn't drop on your head.
