Default I got thinking about lights...

for the 96 blazer there are like 2 custom lights. not much to pick from is there? and they are pretty much the same.

What if you got these and painted the insides black. Not the glass, since that's clear, but the inside back? That would turn them into a black-projcter lights. Maybe you could use transparent black to make sure all that gloss and shinning stays.

would that be cool, illegal, or stupid?

if you did that i would think the light output would suck. Since all the light reflects off of the inside

Eyelids? hmmm, could look good with a slight eyelid on the top and bottom, make the lights look a little more squinted.
