Interior Help!!
2 Attachment(s)
So once upon a time I was going to use my Blazer for mudding... So I stripped the interior and rolled on some Hurculiner for an easy clean-up surface... Well two motors, and two transmissions later I decided it's time to invest my money and make it nice. I am currently in school for Automotive painting and I am using my Blazer as my project. This summer I want to redo all the interior but I am afraid I won't be able to get insulation and carpet to stick to the Hurculiner.
Is there anyway I can smooth out the Hurculiner a bit to make it stick better.. Will it stick without a problem?!.. Any suggestions appreciated and any tips on affordable interior parts is greatly welcomed! Thanks in advance! P.S. New color will be a Charcoal Grey Metallic with a tangerine stripe above the body line! (Yes, I know it looks blue in the picture but it's not!) https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1395027685 https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1395027685 It's not the straightest but for my first project I don't think I've done too bad! |
Well once you bolt everything down on top of it like the seats and trim pieces the carpet will be stationery. I found a guy on eBay that was half the price of every one else and custom fits them to your vehicle. As far as interior parts I'd recommend trying a junkyard first as some parts can be expensive. But for the most part some things don't necessarily need to be gm parts. I couldn't find a console like I liked for my blazer through any gm dealer or aftermarket dealer, so I got on amazon and found one made for a minivan for $30.
