L.E.D mod
Okay i know there are already threads on here of how to do this but i need some help. I want to change the color of the lights in my gauges in the dash to blue. I've already done the overhead lights and HVAC controls and it looks amazing, so i want the rest done.
All info would be great. Bulb size, step by step procedures, anything i need! |
I can help you with bulb types with the link in my sig.

Thank you guys a bunch!! Are the bulbs direct replacements for the stock ones?
|
Yes, but...
You will need to get twist lock bases for them. The stock bulbs are soldered (or glued) into the ones in there. You can get them here. The ones that look like this. http://www.superbrightleds.com/timth...W-ns.jpg&w=150 I got mine from a junkyard for free. :) And I agree with tibby about the 360* smd leds. Nice and bright, and more importantly (for me at least), uniform light. |

If i just went to junk yard, what kind of Ford am I looking for? Or just any Ford guage socket will work? And do i need to get all 6?
|
I think just about any ford will have them in there. (hopefully tibby will jump in and tell us if I'm wrong.) I actually got mine out of a blazer or s10 :icon_shrug: so I'm not sure which vehicles will have them. And yes you will need 6 of them.
