Looks pretty good. I'll be interested to see how long it lasts..

Nice!

CraigSnedeker 08-13-2009 06:55 AM

it should last a while, made of sturdy stuff and tied on real tight (thx to my dad lol. i would have never thought of turning it over and tightening it up with pliers)

So you overpaid on ebay for aluminum gutter guard?

CraigSnedeker 08-17-2009 07:28 AM

Er ... no. it was darn cheap =P

Did you even price out gutter guard? I would think it would be cheaper then $25 to do your grille..
I'd like to see how long it lasts as I said. I wouldn't be surprised if it rusts in the near future...just judging by his description on the ebay listing. It sounds super cheap.

CraigSnedeker 08-17-2009 04:18 PM

Never did. no hardware stores around here anymore, went out of business.

Zeeke98 08-17-2009 07:28 PM

Where do you live? BFE? Lowes, Home Depot, Menards? Hell, pretty much any store that sells any gutter stuff should have them. You could have gotten two pieces for under $10.

Sisk, the stuff is made from aluminum and won't rust. I had it for several years on my Sonoma in the bumper holes and it still looked the same as the day I put it on. I live in Michigan and get lots of salt abuse and it still looked good.

CraigSnedeker 08-17-2009 07:37 PM

I have a walmart and home depot around, not local, but close enough. I'd get some for the bumper holes (good idea) except the toe hooks are in the way

Interesting...sounded from the description on ebay that it was a cheap piece of crap that wouldn't last long. If it's aluminum though you wouldn't have a problem.

Then remove the tow hooks....

Zeeke98 08-17-2009 08:08 PM

Two 13mm bolts in each hook and they're out. Unless you offroad or tow other vehicles out of ditches, there's no real need for them.

Besides the fact they look badass :icon_playing: lol. Actually they're very handy to have...however I get the impression you don't ever go offroading Craig, so you would have no real use for them.

Your right, I don't. And tow trucks don't use then when they tow you do they? We've broken down a lot (lucky nva in our blazer, just our other old cars) in the past. haha
