Paint plastic pieces that arent painted

why arent the door handle painted? why is the front bumper of not painted the same as the body? i want to paint my door handles, front bumper and rear plastic pieaces on the outside of the rear hatch. how much do u think

Price depends on the body shop you take it to. Only thing I had painted was the rear plastic pieces on the outside of the rear hatch. I had it painted gloss black a few years ago.

Painting something that your hands are going to touch every day is not smart?! You will rub the paint off in a week and it will be all over you. My advice just leave emm alone!

Yea spray paint will rub off. If it's painted by a professional body shop, only worry will be is scratches from everyday use. This is why I refuse to paint my door handles.

if your painting door handles, take into consideration that they will rub over a period of time, if you still want to do them as i did a few years ago, you need to scuff the plastic with 240 to allow your base primer to adhere to the plastic, dry sand and reprime and them wet sand and repaint, then lay your colour and clear coat.

Most times its better to buy chrome options and install them anyway, the base they lay onto the plastic (lead base) will allow the chromium stage to adhere to the plastic (yes it can be done)
