so far what i've seen is:
the bracket around the stereo and a/c buttons
the bracket where you lock doors and windows
the cup holders and that whole center console
there's some others but i can't think right now

Pretty much anything. It just depends on how much you want to rip apart and what kind of work/time you want to do to put into the project. I would say the dash surround, radio bezel and Power door locks panel would be the easiest. You could take the entire door panel off or the door handles/levers (inside and out if you wanted), center consoule would take some work but probably asier than the door handles. Personally I have little experience with the pre 98 models but they should be pretty similar to my model.

so if i removed them i half to sand them correct? down to a smooth finish? im not experienced at all with painting cars.......anything besides painting houses im lost ..thanks

Yes you have to sand them correctly or the paint won't stick. No you do not have to sand it smooth, just get some scotch brite pads and scuff them untill you don't see any 'shiny' areas.

You will need to use some sort of sillicone remover/cleaner/solvent. Also, it would be wise to use an adhesion promoter before the paint. They do makepaint specifically for interiors.

IMO I would only paint anything that is a solid/hard plastic.

In ref to painting plastic int parts, Ive seen spray paint in autozone and walmart specifically for plastic, I just cant rem the brand of the paint... plastic parts i dont beleive need to be sanded or scuffed, just make sure they are clean.... If you scuff them up you may see the scratches in the plastic and its gonna look like crappola...

Krylon Fusion! Thats what I used to paint my skid-plate and rear window finishing panels. I bleieve the_brettster recently painted part of his interior with krylon fusion as well. I can't remember who it was for sure. I know rabbit0102030 painted parts of his too.
