Painting calipers

I'm thinking for my next mod I'm gonna paint my brake calipers. Anyone have a good procedure or reccomend any brands of paint? I know I'll need ceramic high heat paint because they get hot. .

Yeah, use a kit specifically for this. It'll have the appropriate cleaner and the paint will last longer.

Also, this paint comes with a brush applicatorso it wont overspray.

thats what i need to do too because you can see mine easily with my wheels and my rotors need to be painted too. not the part that the brakes contactthe rotor.the outer edge and where the wheel mounts. i will probably just go with black. what color are you planning on using?

DUDE, use either eastwoods caliber paint or on ebay they have an epoxy caliber paint both work sweet last along time. just straight enamel paint won't last. later bubba

LOL don't ya just love bubba? in with the 2 cents and gone in a flash!

Anyway what color do you think will be best? I've found kits for yellow, blue, red, black, white, silverish (kinda gray), and orange. I'm leaning more towards orange or red. Not too fond of the black because they are already black.

Yeah I have thought of either red or the black or gray/metallic silver looking ones. The red I think might make it look kind of ricey and friends would think it was stupid. I was thinking more of the silver or black since it will protect the calipers and make it a little cleaner. Well I guess they will be getting dirty anyhow offroading but they will look nice when cleaned up anyways.

I've got a silver DupliColor kit sitting on the shelf in my garage. Was planning on using it on my Bonneville but sold it before I got a chance. Maybe I'll paint the Rainier's calipers.
