plasti dip in blazer?

Has anyone tried plasti on there blazers? I just don't know if it will look right

i dont know if anyone has. i have used some on mine personally, but that was just on the lower frame that you can see when the truck is parked. if you want to find out, just go get a can of the color you want and start spraying. they say that it will peel right off. but i have never done that before. i have seen a few vids/pics of people trying things out with it and they peel it right off with no damage done.

I've never used it but two of my buddies have on their silverados. Has held up very well so far has a nice satin matte black finish to it I think. But like I said no personal experience with it

What is it that your trying to do with it on the Blazer?

Would it hold up for a long time I mean because I live in Michigan and with the salt problems and snow and if it holds through a car wash because I'm wanting to paint the whole blazer matte black with the plasti dip

I have never personally used it but I'm going to say a commercial car wash will at least get it started peeling off in places. Once it starts peeling its gotta come off and be redone.

Had a thought on this: ever seen what happens when salt water wicks in behind a trim piece thats a little loose? Rots the metal right out and the trim bit drops off - can't remember which of my cars it happened on.

If the plastidip gets pierced and the water starts working in under it you'll end up with a bigger mess - you just won't see it though till the metal caves in.

Got a little experiment going on the wifes car using spray-on bedliner on the lower 1/3rd of the car and wrapped down under to the floor pans. We'll see if the salt ends up sitting under it and rotting it eventually. Going to try it on the blazer next too so we'll see what happens.
