Power seat recline does not work.
I have a 2000 Blazer LT 4 Door and the power seat's recline isn't working. The seat is ask the way back, but it won't come back up. Theresearch a rod that makes it go up and down that looks like it's out of alignment. Can I fix it if take the seat out, the top half out, and put it back in the upright position and then put the seat back?

There's a drive rod that makes the seat recline and come back, but the rod is not in alignment so it won't recline or return to the upright position . What can I do to fix it?

The recline motor in an 8-way power seat is integrated into the left hinge and is behind the lower back bolster on that side. I am not sure what drive rod you are talking about unless you are talking about the rod that goes between the two hinges. None of these items are visible without first loosening & rolling up the upper seat cushion cover.
Here is an exploded view of the seat courtesy of Nalley GMC Parts: https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1435597188 The recline motor is part of item #9; the little soda can looking thing on the lower left (as sitting in the seat) hinge.
