RE: sand and prime

well if its just a sand and paint, wash the hell out of the truck with a wax free soap and dry. remove all door handles, emblems, mouldings, mirrors, and anything else that touhes the paint or is in the way. wet sand the whole thing with 500-600 grit on a block or DA with 320-400grit just enough to make the finish smooth and dull. deep scratches can be sanded with 180 then feathered back with 280. any spots that you go through the paint (sanding out scratches or whatever), blow off with compressed air and wash with wax and grease remover. mask off areas from overspray and prime. then its dry, wet sand smooth with 500 -600 paper. blow it, wash the whole thing with wax and grease remover, mask, and paint. have fun!
